Looking for some help but not too sure what to search for, but basically this is the effect I want:

I have a 1024 pixel image that has various titles scattered over the page. What I want to do is, say for example I put the mouse over "about us", it'll automatically pop up with a funky effect drawing a pop up window say 640 x 640 px in size and displaying the info for that catagory, which must have a close (x) button on it. Background of that popup window must be according to the color I want, but in the light transparent colour that it's see through to the 1024px image.

Cause I want this site to be quick to the point with the information.
I know I can do it in Dhtml, but I'm after the effect where as soon as the mouse overs the title, the popup window "draws itself" to the specified size .. and not forgetting the transparent bg of that popup window that I'm after.

If you can please point me to where I can get a tutorial for that type of effect.

Hei,I have seen many site with DHTML popup menu.
But I saw one site when people press on link and
DHTML popup menu is showing with alpha BG.
How to do the alpha BG ?
