hi everyone, if you are having errors regarding this:
1) There is no testing server running on this machine.
2) The testing server specified for this site does not map to
www.mysite.net/database/_mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.asp URL. Verify that
the URL Prefix maps to the root of the site. bla bla bla

I've had this exac tsame error three times this year, i was able to access my site on localhost & manipulate the database no problem but DMX wouldnt create or allow me to change recordsets.

I tried everything including uninstalling & reinstalling, with no joy.

I Finally found that my firewall was the cause of the problem - Zonelabs ZoneAlarm. i've no idea what settings changed but after I uninstalled Zonealarm & restarted the PC ... the error went away !!

This wont apply to everyone but if you've tried everything else & have zonealarm installed, what have you got to lose...
obviously a good idea to reinstall zonealarm afterwards...
