:mad; Hi: i´m new to this php site building, ...

I´m building a database driven site with mysql, using a server configured in my own computer, the server shows in my browser anything but the related records of the master page, i need to retrieve one special record for update it, don´t know if the php or mysql server config is bad for this purpose, so, the only thing that is truncating my plans is the know how... to create a master detail page that really works and retrieve this one record........please can anybody help me........i´m close to madness........

postdata: i´m doing exactly what the dreamweaver tutorial says...............please as soon as posible...
