I am developing two sites with dreamweaver (Dr8 in studio 8) and am confused about the sites organisation. I should point out that I am running IIS 5 as a testing server. My queries are as follows:

1. 1st site I seem to have a local site and a remote site. I do not have a testing server for this one and test via Dr8. No SSIs at this stage although I'm getting to the point where I would like to do so.

Local view = "Site - wmsServer (C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wmsServer)"
Remote view = "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wmsServer\"

Also with this site, the actual remote server is available (got the old site on it) so I want to test the site by uploading it (sub directory) and have a local/remote combination. So not using a local test server.

It is our intention to use Contribute (3.11) to update the site (for teachers) - but not CPS.

Q1. How do I get rid of the local test server site?
Q2. Are the paths above correct (I seem to have the local site on the server and not in a ordinary folder)?
Q3. what is the testing server view for e.g. does it behave like a remote server?
Q4. Does Dr8 use the testing server (for browser testing) or the local view?

2. 2nd site has a local view and testing server view (no remote)

Testing server = "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wmsServer\"
Local view = "Site - focus2 (C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wmsServer)"

Q1. Both on the IIS path. Does the local view actually invoke the server or is it being used by Dr8 as a local folder?

Q2. When I get a remote site, do I keep the testing server or delete it (can they run together)?

The final query is about Contribute. Can I test with either the testing server or remote site and swap between them as I like?

Sorry if its all a bit complicated (perhaps a pointer to a clear description for a novice).
