I am having the same problem and the worst part is that it appeared out of nowhere, everything was working corerctly. Another error I sometimes get is "Error calling getTables", a SQL function.

I have a feeling that something has changed on the server (they admit to running an IIS update recently) that may have made it impossible for me to interactively communicate with the server at design time.

I need help, I have searched everywhere and any patches or extensions have done nothing.

I have a similar problem as above 2 posts, nothing has changed in my custom connection string settings, it just suddenly seems to have happend - which leads me to think it is a remote server issue!!

I have tried the patches on the Adobe website, but they do nothing, if anyone has any help this would be appreciated!

Thanks.

I have fixed my problem with database tables, but the solution was mostly on the server end. I hope this helps...

I work at a Community College and our web server is in the main System Office 60 miles away run by system-level tech guys. They had upgraded the Windows server software (without notification to me) and the upgrade included a lot of security upgrades. I hope I can recall how this went down, but I found some tech notes online that discuss this. The server tech checked all my permissions, I double-checked with him that my site settings were correct (i changed some) and I removed all the server scripts. I recreated all my connections and then it worked. I know that some of my settings were incorrect but I had fiddled so much I couldn't be sure that was the issue. I suggest checking yours well.

I wish I could be more specific for you. I emailed the tech guy to see if he had some concrete details for you but I haven't heard back from him. Here are the articles online, I hope this is helpful. I recommend reading the tech-notes all the way through, I find that what I need to know is sometimes buried under another heading!
