Hi there,

I'm brand new to Dreamweaver and am trying to design a site for a friend. I've been watching tutorials and think I am getting the basic gist of it, but I have hit a hurdle.

Here is a drawing of what I am trying to do. img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/lixxie100/web_page.jpg

The site is super basic. Basically, there are a row of menu buttons at the top and I would like a new image to appear in the 'info/text' area each time someone clicks on a menu button. And have the image stay there til they click on another menu button. I know how to just link the menu buttons to another page, but that would mean the page would have to reload each time.

I know I've seen it done before. Is this something that can only be done on a flash-based site?

Any ideas? Can it be done with Dreamweaver?

Thanks so much.

ETA: I'm using Dreamweaver 8.

I'm not sure. Could you explain a little more? Sorry for being so clueless.

Yes, that's the effect I'm after. So that is called a 'tab option'? I'll try and find that on my tutorial disks and see if I can work it out.

I may be back with more questions!

Thanks.

I couldn't find it in my tutorials, perhaps it's called something else.

Could you explain basically how it's done?

Thanks so much.
