Hi: The Adobe acquisition of Interakt has caused me a big problem...

A few weeks ago, I downloaded and installed a trial version of Calendar MX. I decided that I liked it, and I returned to the website this morning to purchase a license. But Adobe acquired the company on September 5th, and they have discontinued sales of a number of products. The only product available is their "Kollection", which does not appear to include the Calendar MX script.

Does anyone out there know of a different Dreamweaver plugin that can accomplish the same thing as Calendar MX? Or is there any legal way to purchase an old license from somebody? I really liked it, and had already planned my site around it.

FYI, I got this from Interakt this morning, in response to an email I sent to their sales department via the comment form on their website. I'm still looking for alternative plug-ins/solutions.

Hello Susan,

MX Calendar is not included in the new bundle Kollection. MX Calendar was discontinued, and cannot be purchased anymore.

Best regards,
Dianina

Product: MX Calendar

I downloaded a trial version of Calendar MX and returned to purchase it today, only to discover that it is no longer available. Do you have a way for me to purchase it? Will the Calendar MX functions be available if I purchase Kollection? Please let me know ASAP. Thanks!

MX Calendar was not just a field-input pop-up script. It actually produced a full calendar (monthly/weekly/daily views) based on your MySQL database.

Many of you will no doubt remember that there was once a company called Aldus that produced PageMaker, Freehand etc, that was taken over by Adobe.

Freehand was a direct competitor to Illustrator perhaps that's why Adobe sold it off to what became Macromedia, who came up with . . . Dreamweaver

What a pity adobe has waded in again and bought that, is this another example where the 'dead' hand strikes again and many of the useful things will get purged as 'rationalisation' takes place?

There is a good FREE javascript popup calendar at www.nsftools.com/tips/NotesTips.htm#datepicker.

It will allow you to select any date & add that date to a field if your form, if that's what you require.

Hi everyone,
I was interested on the MX Calendar from INTERAKT too, but they told me that the programm is discontinued.
Is there any other Calendar Extension for events, news etc available to buy ?
I am using PHP + MySql and Dreamweaver 8. On Adobe's site there some commercial extensions for events calendar but only for ASP.

Thanks in advance
Penelope
