Im trying to integrate the 2 products and from what I can tell should be pretty painless. I also can't find any info on the net Re: setup, problems that may occur.

Im using DWMX04 and VSS 8.

My VSS db is set up though when I try and connect to via Dreameaver to open a file or browse, I get an "Out of Memory" error and I hit OK and it hangs...

Anyone else had the problem? or can recommend a better concurrent versioning tool to integrate with DreamWeaver?

Would an upgrade to DW8 help solve my problem?

i have used VSS and Vault (Source Gear) with DW8 without issues. a google search turned up this Source Safe Updater to correct "known issues" with MX04 and VSS (about half-way down the page). if that doesn't help, you might try upgrading to DW8 if the budget allows.

we purchased MX04 about 60 days prior to DW8 release, so "Macromedia" shipped it to us at no charge. so far, no issues with either source control program ...
