Removing background from pictures

Greetings to all,Can someone direct me to some tutes on how to remove all of the background, including the white space, from a picture, using fireworks??

1.Select the Magic Wand Tool (W)
2.In the Property inspector set the Wand Tool's Tolerance to 20 and the Edge to Anti-Alias.
3.Click anywhere in the white area to select the background. You may need to click and hold the Shift Key to create more than one selection.
4.Click Delete to remove the background
Now you have done!

yes its a good method, i agree with you but when we search in internet there is some back ground remover tool try it and have a success....

If you are using a template simply remove the background image from the folder while uploading to the FTP or remove by using the lasso tool [8D]
