using a custom font in dreamweaver.

i am building a website in dreamweaver 8 mostly using a Special character font set.. But am unable to display the character set properly in Firefox .. It works perfectly In IE6..I am not familier with character encoding at all. I just added the Special character font set into the Dreamweaver fonts and just typed everything inside using that font. Its works fine inside dreamwaver and in IE .. but not in firefox. What am i missing.. do i need any special scripting to make it work? or a CSS technique perhaps?
Herez an example of a website which uses the same font.. u will need to download the font(available from the website) to display the website properly. haveeru.com.mv/. Its a language called Dhivehi, used only in the Republic of Maldives, written from right to left.
i am newbie btw..

yes, css padding and/or margins will probably help with any alignment issues; however, i would not consider requiring visitors to download and install a typeface to read a site as a "best practice". hopefully, the font is freeware and there are no licensing issues.
if you prefer to embed a typeface into your site, i might consider flash or offering downloadable pdf documents with the embedded typeface, which would not require visitors to install the font on their client ...
