I'm so confused about the various versions of Dreamweaver...

I'm still running Windows ME, and recently decided to build a website for my business. I'm an engineer with some software development experience, but a complete novice when it comes to web programming. Dreamweaver has been highly recommended, but I discovered DW 8 won't run under WinME. From what I gather (please correct me if I'm wrong), the (original) Dreamweaver MX was the official name for version 6 and Dreamweaver MX 2004 refers to version 7. According to Adobe sales associate, the system requirements for MX 2004 included Win 98SE and XP but not ME. That's odd... I don't think I've ever heard of skipping a version! (ok, hold the ME jokes!) The rep speculated that MX 2004 *should* run under WinME since it runs under Win98SE, but I'm not willing to take that chance. I mean, it's not like I'm going to find a "download free trial" link!

Can someone confirm one way or the other?

BTW, the rep did say the previous version (Dreamweaver MX) is definitely WinME compatible. However, that version may be tough to find.
