I am using Dreamweaver MX on Mac OS 10.3 . I purchased the flash album generator 2 extension. When it downloads fine onto my desktop but when I try to install the extension the error message states:

The installer file is invalid. The filename "update Flash album Generator 2.htm" has more than the maximum 31 characters. The extension will not be installed.

Any thoughts about what I can do to get this into my Macromedia Extension Manager so I can use it in Dreamweaver MX?

No I never recieved a useful answer. I'm actually really angry about it- I've tried several times to get help and the most they can tell me is to reinstall (the famous cop-out line) It is the last time I will spend money on any of their products.
No support = waste of money.

I'have the problem too. I rearly lost one day for my work , surching to fix this problem.

After installing once more and delete ---&gt;install...the extension,
another Problem appears. Error with <b> javascript</b> is the message. ???

The Album that is created, does not show correctly. Some Thumbnail-Pictures are missing.
I read someone in the forum, the problem also have.

Now I have a lot of stress. The customer waits for his Website.

I hope, that the creator of FAG read this Forum.

I just got an e-mail announcement of an updated Flash Album Generator 2.
I had bought the extension but couldn't use it because I get the "more than 31 character" error when the
Update Flash Album Generator 2.htm file is attempted to be read by the installer file.

I have a Mac 10.3 and it is frustrating that even an updated extension does not correct this problem for Mac developers. I design websites and this album generator is an excellent feature. I see other people, when the extension works, are very satisfied.

Is there someone there at DMXZone that can help us out????

I've been trying to get an answer from the developer of PU3 and SIP2 (George Petrov) for weeks now...

No-one answers the email address and the only respoce I've had is from poor old Roddy who has kindly suggested some work rounds, no of which work because it need fixer by the DEVELOPER.

Maybe we ask for our money back George !!!!

Well i have exactly the same problem

I am running the same setup as when i purchased flash album version 1

Dreamweaver MX 2004 and Extension Manager 1.6.062

I looked on the adobe site for an update to the extension manager but they state the version to use for MX 2004 is the one i already have.

I even downloaded and reinstalled the extension manager but that didnt help.

Looks like i wont be buying the product

does anyone know of a decent alternative, flash ablum 1 is ok but id like to move on a little

The flash album generator finally installed. I'm just waiting now for a new verification code, since it took more than two weeks to get it all straightened out.
