i cant connect to mysql database from dreamweaver mx2004 . mysql is running and i have created the tables in the dreamweaver help but when i try to define a database in dreamweaver it tells me an unidentified error has occured and closes.someone help me as i'm losing my mind

Paddie, sup please don't loose your head its so easy.
First get your apache running and configure my sql. you can easily make your connection in Dream weaver when the server is running.
First try to install phptriad so as to ease configuring the server and the my sql try that and lets see how it goes +2348055443861

sorry I just got to know your my sql is running. are you sure you have allowed dreamweaver to manage your site and you have chosen all the webserver, root folders?
If you have done that go to application>database and connect to your my sql.

thanks man for the encouragement. where u at in naija? i stay in lagos. i'm using iis as my testing server and not apache. well i got it connected cos the error was i didnt specify the php extensions folder so php could not find the extension for mysql. well i crossed that bridge but i guess i'll still need you on some future advice. thanks man . my number is 08032360017. one love
