Is there a way of checking whether a certain page has been revisted via the back button?

For example an initial visit to page_one.htm will show a history.forward of 0 but if page_one.htm links to page_two.htm and then the user hits the back button page_one.htm now shows history.forward of 1.

If this is possible is it also possible to display the actual page name of page_two.htm so some validation can be performed to check which page the page_one.htm was revisited by.

I have tried using sessions and asp but these sever side scripting won't check if the back button has been used thus I thought I would enquire about client side scripting (javascript)
