Ok. I've downloaded MySQL & Php & Apache
Now what do I do? I have tried to find a tutorial to walk me through all this but, even though the ones I've found start out in English, they turn into compuspeak that I don't understand. I really am a rank beginner and need some sort of tutorial or guidance through this. My aim is to make a simple search function for my website. If you know of any tutorial out there for dummies, please let me know. Appreciate any help on this one.

Ok now that you have the MySQL PHP and APACHE, this means if on your computer then your computer is a virtual server. Where you can test, you php and mysql codes. For the functions now, you won't find (not that i know of) website which will explain in plain english, how to use functions. You first need to know the basic of PHP once you know that, it will be easy for you. Now if we can help in the process of building this function then let us know.
