hello..im stuck with this problem for ages..could someone help me step by step to solve this problem.im using winXP..
Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file '(unknown)'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data.

- make a backup copy of the original database file (MDB), then, delete it.
- rename the backup file to the same filename that is used to be
- right-click on that mdb file, select PROPERTIES-SECURITY
- look for the username, and click all the checkboxes to allow writing
