yeah you need a database to make your site dynamic,
which means you need to install a webserver on your machine, an application server for interpreting the code, and a mysql server for storing the information that will be added / removed / edited / searched etc

download XAMPP (search on google) it sets all of this up for you no worries

then you can use dreamweaver to connect to the db etc

give us another shout once you are at that stage, we'll give you an idea of what 2 do next
