Error with Editable Region in DW8 and DWMX

"You have made changes to that is not marked as editable. If you retain your changes, they will be lost the next time you apply a template update to this file. Do you want to retain the changes until then?" This is the error that I am getting any time I try to save changes to a file used by the template. Every time I save the changes disappear. I know that this is a common error, but I can't figure out what the problem is. I have validated my code and I don't find any errors.
Here is the link to my template:

If you could help me with this it would be great. I have been banging my head against the wall all night.

Ok, this basically means you are trying to make a change to a <b>page</b> based on a template, inside an area that can only be changed on the template itself. If you keep the changes to the page, they will be over written next time you make a change to the template.
But I am guessing you are also getting this message when you are actually working inside the editable area of the page. if that's the case, you need to be very careful when doing so, as it is sometimes possible to try to add text outside of the editable area.
My general fix is to do most of my work of editing in code view. Or if the change to the page is so important, then I detach it from the template altogether.
I doubt my solution is the best out there, so maybe someone else will post with something better and I'll learn something new too!
Cheers

we get the same thing here, but it's intermitant.
Make your changes to the code. Then click the "Refresh" button.
You'll then get the same error message, but you'll not actually lose the changes you made.
