I recently had to reinstall windows xp professional and I have forgotten how to set the permissions so that I can test asp-coded MS Access driven web sites on my local machine.

I am getting an unspecified error when trying to access any database driven page.

Do I need to move wwwroot into the shared folders? I have already changed the permissions so that everyone has read/write access.

Is there a link to a page which will provide explicit instructions. Is there an MDAC issue?

or if you're not able to update or insert record, goto the folder where you saved your MDB database, then do these following:

> RIGHT-CLICK on that MDB file
> SELECT PROPERTIES - SECURITY
> CLICK ON THE GROUP OR USER NAMES AND CLICK ALL THE CHECKBOXES AND APPLY/OK
