Hi, basically what im after is a method of changing the content (text/images/etc) within a section of a page when a button is clicked, but, without having to reload the whole page.

for example having a one page website, where the information text is changed to the appropriate text when a particular navigation button is clicked. so that the other info (bg image/header/footer/etc) can stay the same and not have to be reloaded by navigating to another page.

would it be possible with JavaScript maybe? ive not really used JS, but id like to learn a bit if it would enable extra things such as this.
