I am just learning dreamweaver 8.01. I run a web design firm but am learning some basic coding skills so I can help out a little more. Our employee who quit left a mess of a local site with just about every revision on our server as well as personal photos, etc on it. I tried to go through DW8's "Check Links Sitewide" feature, but I have two issues with it:

1. I can't delete the files for some reason directly in the Link Checker. I need to cross-reference and delete the files out of the Files panel. Any reason why? The tutorial books I have read as well as DW8's "HELP" feature seem to indicate you should be able to delete the files directly out of the Link Checker.

2. I went through manually and I am losing files that are reference by our Javascript rollover buttons. Does anyone know if there is a third-party application or extension where I could more accuratlely delete files?
