I have bought the book and been working on it today. My question is when I create my slices and open it in DW what happens what is the best way to fix an images if someone down the line asks for design changes? Obviously you open that particular slice/image in Image Ready and tweak it and just save it?
But what if some of the change is an image that is spread over a few slices.
Do you to open the psd file, make the changes then, open it in IR and then Save as html and images?
Won't this overwrite everything.

I would imagine that it works as in fireworks where you can save and image as png and it keeps all the modifications and attributes assigned to that image, like the layers and slices. Check if that is the case in image ready, edit your image but keep the slice structure you had and export image. The slices should be the same to avoid any problems and further work.
Hope it helps,

yes it will, which is where good design comes into place. but that is basically the way to do it.
if the site ever needs that doing, then you will just have to incorporate that into your page somehow.

Dave thanks. Lizzy does rule!
Can you give me some hints on as you say "that is where good design comes in"?
I just want to learn the correct fundamental procedures?
