DW8 | PHP | MYSQL

Hi there,
I have a mysql database for images. There are links to the images stored in mysql, together
with the name, date, etc of the images.
I've made a php page wich shows the images, with a repeat region command. It repeats itself, one under the other one. etc.
What i want to do is show the images in Z index: 1st left above, 2nd right above, 3rd left middle 4th right middle, 5th left under etc.

How can this be achieved?
