I am totally new to dreamweaver and have been thrown into the deep end. Using v4 I seem to be doing fine for the mostpart but I have a major problem understanding the URL definition in the Site definitions window. I neither understand the need for it (other than the fact that it doesn't work unless I do it properly) nor how to define it. Can anyone direct me to any reference material for the indescribably stupid?

if i understand you correctly, it's asking you if you have an online website.

it's an ftp issue, for dw to be able to connect/view the webserver.

not important if you don't plan on using dw for ftp'ing your files across.
