I am using ASP upload and an trying to get the filename recorded in my database but I cannot get it to work. I also can't get the filename into a server variable - nothing seems to work! Aaagh! I'm using Pure ASP 2 in an update form with the filename in a filefield. I'm a novice - has anyone any suggestions?

Things you should check:

Do you have the correct permissions on your server?
Do you have your insert record Form working withouth Pure ASP?
Also, are you using the redirect function on Pure ASP?

Hi Javier,

Yes permissions were all set on the server correctly. I have solved that particular problem. How? I just started again and followed the instructions in your compehensive help section. My problems may be with Dreamweaver Version 8 which has many bugs. However, the extension is working almost perfectly. The removal of the progess bar option on subsequent implementation of each instance is a niggle but I expect you will be updating the software shortly to fix this bug and when you do I will recommend it 100%.

I another note, I'm not the creator of Pure ASP neither do any work for the developers of that extension, in fact I'm a user of the software and I'm learning just like you, with the help of many great people who provide with assistance to all of us, making the learning curve a little less rocky. thanks to all.
