Hello,

Anyone knows how to transform the basic textarea in Dreamweaver MX, into a richtext editor. I mean, i want to add a long text into a textarea form, but i also want to customize it, to bold it, or to make larger fonts, etc.

Can anyone offer a solution?

Thank you in advance,
Michael.

You've got various options, from the free but a little bit of knowledge required solution, to the paid for dreamweaver extensions.

DMXZone do one called Advanced HTML editor, which is easy for a beginner developer, but you have to pay.

Feeling a bit more adventurous? Try:

sourceforge.net/projects/tinymce/

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. I took in consideration all that you said, but in the mean time i found the solution that i was so long looking for: using the iframes in DMX.

I went deep into it, and now everything is working just fine. I have this problem here with the website, and maybe you can offer me an idea, please. I will also post a separate topic for my problem, but will also paste the text here, so that you can have an idea:

How the frames work, and what is the consequence of having 3 frames on a page, and 2 menus in 2 frames out of those 3.

www.sector1online.de/mrs

The idea is.. is there anyway that i can do when you click for example on: home, spendenkonto etc. in the top menu, and then click on the left menu: der Vorstand, die Stifterung, etc. you can see that both menus have the buttons active, on red.

So how can i make it when you click on the left menu, the top menu should go to black. Or otherwise, when i click on the top menu the left menu should go to black.

Thank you so much,
Michael.
