I have to design a website to display images of rugs and the information to go along with it.Each rug will have two images, a 'room set' image and a 'detailed' image, that is accessed through the 'room set' page.
The images/info can be searched and viewed as thumbnails, or viewed one at a time like a catalogue.
I am just not sure the best way to tackle this. I am competent in web design but have a feeling that this would be best done with a database driven website, something that i am not so competent in.
Is this the best way of doing it?
If so, what programs are best for building the database, bearing in mind i'm fairly new to them.
Also are there any good resources/books available to help me through it?
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,
Your spot on... A dynamic site would be the ideal solution to your problem. You would need to create a database with two simple table and have them related by some kind of ID. Sounds very complex but if you use MS Acx its s*%t easy (just use the wizards). You can find an excelent tutorials for this here: www.dmxzone.com/index.asp?TypeId=2&CatId=142 or www.webthang.co.uk/tuts/tutorial.asp
If you have any question feel free to post a reply back here and somebody may be able to help...
