I am attempting to establish a db connection to mySQL and recieve the dreaded 405 error. I am running XP PRO, DX2004, mySQL 5.0 and IIS 5. I don't believe the "scripts_bak" fix appies as my applications are all fresh installs. (tried it anyway and get an "unspecified error", I've double checked all permissions and directery paths, php test is affirmative and my databases show up in mySQL.

I have googled some 100+ sites, used the service manuals and burnt incense while facing west and chanting bianaries.

I should mention that although I downloaded mySQL 5.0, the my.ini file references 4.1. Is this a typo in the comments or have I inadvertantly downloaded a 4.1 ini with the 5.0 download?
