Hi,
I installed for the first time. Apache2, php5, mySQL and of course phpmyadmin on a Windows XP SP2 machine. However, everytime that I would load phpmyadmin the "cannot load mysql.dll extension" would show up. I tried several forums and couldn't find an answer. I was ready to give up, until I made one more search and ended with this great article that explains clearly what to do. I think would be beneficial to those beginners like me, venturing in the waters of Apache, php and mysql.

It is very helpful but if u installed the full package by download xampp (Apache, MySQL, PHP + PEAR, Perl, mod_php, mod_perl, mod_ssl, OpenSSL, phpMyAdmin, Webalizer, Mercury Mail Transport System for Win32 and NetWare Systems v3.32, JpGraph, FileZilla FTP Server, mcrypt, eAccelerator, SQLite, and WEB-DAV + mod_auth_mysql) or wampp(Apache, Mysql, Php).
