I am currently working on re-creating my company’s Employee Intranet in Dreamweaver. Right now our employee directory is one long table that I have to update manually every time we get a new employee.

Is there a database that can be linked to Dreamweaver that would automatically update this information for me?

Our IT Dept. does not have any insights on this, so I’m really stuck! Plus I'm pretty new to Dreamweaver and no one else in this organization uses this software--

nothing can do it automatically.

it can make it easier, but a human or some kind of data entry process is still needed to add information into the DB.

theres plenty of options for you. Access, mySQL, SQL server, etc.. it all boils down to how much money you have, and how much knowledge you have.

-access is cheap and nasty, and can accomplish small projects that don't involve heavy traffic or many connections.
-mysql is free on most systems, a bit of a bugger to set up, but once its configured is sweet to use and very powerful.
-sql server is very expensive, powerful, but again sometimes a bother to set up.

but then your gonna need the knowledge to create pages to automate the data process once entered. dreamweaver can do virtually all of this for you, and it comes with some examples for setting up detail pages, insert pages etc..
but be aware, it isn't an overnight thing to learn.
