Forms ASP & CDO
Hey there.

Can anyone help with forms. We have created standard forms using Dreamweaver and they will not work as our hosting companys IIS does not work with CGI/Perl.

They tell me that I will need to implement an ASP mail object such as implementing a CDO object.

They say that once i do this we will have no problems.

Can anyone tell me what this CDO object is or how to creat it or even better can anyone suggest where there may be a tutorial that can help or explaing what to do.

Thanks

CONFUSED MAL.

Heya, thanks for the reply.

I tried all the links on that page and they all return a "Location Cannot Be Found" error message.

Anything else you can suggest ?

You might try using a seperate program for your form mail. I had this same problem as you, just didnt understand the amount of stuff you have to know to get forms to work right, so I found a program called formstogo and it works a treat. it works for asp, php and pl so you should be set. The only information you really need (above and beyond your own site-specific info) in the name of the mail server handling the mail. Otherwise, it's just a case of entering info you have to hand. Google formstogo and you'll find the free download. hope this helps.

Hey there, thanks for the reply. A day ago someone sent me some script which I copied and pasted to my site. Changed a few setting and it finaly worked.

I just had a look at this forms to go and it looks pretty good. I might download it anyhow and give it a try.

Might be better than what I have.

Thanks.
