HiI am soooo new to Dreamweaver that I might be out of my depth.
I have found some great tutorials for what I want, but they all miss something basic.
What I want to do is make a form that will ask for stuff and then email the results to me. I know this is probably REALLY easy, but I can't seem to get it to work.
What I CAN do is make the form on the html. I also have a Thank you form. but I don't seem to be able to get the submit button to do anything OR actually receive the email.
So if someone has a fantastic tutorial that takes me from wo to go, then I would love to hear about it. OR If someone can speak 'novice' and guide me through it, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

you need a webhost that will support CGI, ASP, PHP or .NET to name a few.
if you have one of these dynamic languages available to you, then it's quite easy.
using a mailto: tag in the form won't work.
post back when you know what languages you can use and i'll be happy to help or point you in the right direction.

Cheers for the quick answer.
How do I find out about which languages it supports? Is that on the server somewhere? or is there a nice convenient sign saying CGI? or ASP?

it's usually on the package info when you sign up, but their customer support can easily tell you if you have these available to you.

Hi
I looked at the root directory of my hosted site and there is a folder called "cgi-bin", so I am guessing that CGI is available?
So my next step would be to.....?
