I'm trying to create a border using cells around a table, and find that even though the columns have fixed widths, the column changes and the image is either centered, or tiled. This is an example of my dilemma:

How do I fix this?

Try putting a clear spacer image (I usually use a .gif) into the column with the BG image - make the image width equal to the width you want the column... that always works for me.
