Hi All,

Can anyone help with a problem with banner gifs please? I have created a 'links' page on my website. When I view the page locally on my PC it looks fine. However, once I upload the page and view it online, some of the gif banners just do not show.

I though it might be an explorer setting issue, but some of the other banner gifs do show.

Also, and for whatever reason I have no idea, when I select view source from the right click menu, the code for the banner gifs is not there - bizarre???!!!

If anyone can help it would be most appreciated.

Regards,

Patrick.

OK, I seem to be getting somewhere. I am currently at work and have just viewed the page and it is working fine!!!

So, the only thing I can think is that it must be how my pc is set up. I have norton internet security and norton antivirus running. I did check microsofts pages and did a search on the '_blank' tag associated with gif banner links which direct you straight to the site rather than having the image on your site. I checked as many internet explorer settings as possible but they seemed to be ok.

Has anyone else had similar happenings?

Any and all help is most appreciated.

Regards,

Patrick.

Hi all,

I've sorted it at last!!!!!!!

The problem was norton internet security.

I Selected 'Ad Blocking' from the main menu and switched off 'Turn on add blocking' and bingo all gifs now appear as they should.

I just need to tidy up my code now!!!

Regards,

Patrick.
