Hi GuysI know dreamweaver well, but building a dynamic site through the use of a connection to a database has eluded me for too long. I am so determined to nail this.
I have DWMX and access available to me. I want to use dreamweaver and as little coding as possible (PHP if I have a choice) to make a simple working product display site like nearly all the shopping sites these days. I just don't know where to start.
I imagine there is a tutorial somewhere, but can someone point me the the right direction? I would love to RTFM but I need to find it first.
Thanks.
Marcus

personally i wouldn't use php and access, asp is the logical choice for using access, if you wish to use php, then mysql is available free for download, most hosts who offer php hosting offer free mysql also, so that is the path to go with.
dwmx comes with sample sites and tutorials to get you started. Following along these with these basics can get you started quite quickly.
you can do a google for 'php tutorials' there's thousands of them, or alternatively you can browse some of the premium content here on dmx zone for php.

Thanks Dave,
I didn't realise that dreamweaver came with lessons on this. I will start there. If dreamweaver will do it for me then I am all for avoiding code completely.
Many thanks
Marcus
