<font face='Arial'>Hello Everyone
I would appreciate a little help on a problem I have come across as I have aken over a site from a hostile host.
Downloading the site, I need to make some changes to the VB code, the site is all .asp.
The first code line locks all code outside the HTML tags. Dreamweaver just greys out the source.
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the line such as this InstanceBegin template="/Templates/content.dwt.asp" codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="s " </font id='Arial'>
I would add there are no templates stored with the site and no templates folder.

Have I missed something.

Thanks
Steve

what about opening the file in a text editor rather than DW. That way you should be able to do whatever you want to the code.

Thanks for that, As you say you can do just that, but when you run it through DM again it just ignores the changes!!!
Whilst the string has visually changed (ie True changes to false) the region cannot be edited.
Appreciate your feedback

Well, there <i>were</i> Templates, but nobody uploads the "Templates" folder, since there's no need for them to be online. Opening outside of DW, in like Notepad, and editing the code should keep it changed unless you didn't save it or something wiered. If you want to remove Template markup, there's an option in <b>Modify &gt; Template &gt; Remove Template Markup</b>.

I suggest bugging the original designer for the Templates if possible.
