Hi all,

I would like to be able to count the characters typed into the AdvHTML Editor, but as this is DHTML based, the normal scripts don't work. I want to be able to limit the user to a certain amount of characters?

Anyone got any idea's?

Cheers, Craig

When you say "the normal scripts don't work", you mean JavaScript checking the <i>onchange</i> attribute of the textarea by doing a character count?

HI Chris,

Yeah, I have tried various scripts (javascript) to get it to work. I have even tried to copy the text over to another txt box in real time so that I could count that one, but as the text box is DHTML based I'm not able too?

Thanks for the reply, Craig

You're best posting this question in the extensions' own forum, link is on the extensions' info page "Support"
