hey all,

am using the dmx widget for connecting to a MySQL

if i leave the server name off and search for the database i connect ok to the server but when i add the server name i get a username/password 1045 error

php user is added to database effectively with a seperate ODBC connection operating smoothly

any thoughts because it is only on one site

Is it a localhost or remote server that you are connecting to?

there is one username and pasword to access the ftp which is different from the username and password to access the database within myphp SQL manager - could this be causing any conflicts?

under servername configuration settings rather than server designation server.host.ext.ext - localhost designated seems to have solved it

Sounds like a custom DB Server for their hosted clients.
