... and I can't understand why! The first time I look at my page linebrakes are generated for some weird reason. Then i press update and it works! Can someone help me with this annoying problem? I've set the width and height in the td-tags and the img-tags but not in the table-tag.

by pressing update, u mean your refreshing the browser and then it works?

if so sounds like a rendering error somewhere in the code, or the server it's on is maybe overworked, but it's been a while since i've worked with tables, im purely css now.

u got a link to the page? also does it do this in all browsers?

yes, when refreshing the browser (IE6) it works. i don't think that the server is the problem since the error occurs on two different servers. i've used the same code stucture on several pages but i've never had this problem. i'm using macrmedia homesite 5 and i've had some problems with it before when working with tables. do you think there's a possibility that homesite is the problem here?
