Is it possible to define a site and save that definition to a drive that DW is not installed on? I am volunteering at a high school with DWMX and their DW is installed on their C: drives which do not allow changes to be saved. The problem is that the site has to be re-defined each day as the definition is not saved. Can I define a site and save that definition to the "s" drive (which will retain the saved info from day to day)? The technies do not want to load DW on the "S" drive. The created files are all in tact on the "S" drive.

Is their a "key" that can be created to allow me to open a site defined on the "S" drive?

You can export & import Site Definitions no problem. You should see the "import" & "export" buttons on the Add site dialog window.
