<font face='Comic Sans MS'></font id='Comic Sans MS'>

I'm new to using fireworks, but just bought Fireworks MX (as part of StudioMX) so i'm learning how to use it. When i create something (either Vector or Bitmap Graphics) and i click the preview tab there is nothing there! Just a blank (transparent) canvas. What am I doing wrong? I worked through a few tutorials from Macromedia and they worked fine when i went to preview, so why won't it preview graphics when i create them myself?

There's probably a really simple answer!
