Hi All,I need to be able to upload an image file to a folder, but also I would like to also place the same filename in a mysql database field. I would like to do this so I can use a recordset to retrieve that correct images from the upload folder. I know there is an extension to upload a file called pure php upload, but can this also place the filename in a database. It would be nice to know before I buy the extension itself.
Many Thanks
Simon

Yes, you can add your FILEFIELD also to an recordset and to a specific field in your database. When e.g. a filename already exsist Pure PHP Upload can change the filename and puts the changed filename into the database. You can even choose between a relative path or an absolute path.
So... buy the extension.. It will suit your needs!

Thanks for the info. It does look from the tutorials on this site that the only way to upload a file to a folder and place the filename in a database is to use Pure ASP Upload. I have a Mysql database, so is it still possible to do this by using Pure PHP Upload? I just want to make sure before I fork out for the extension.
Thanks
