hey, i'm just getting started on mysql. i have installed the program and set it up, but the service won't start. i keep getting an "error: 0" message. the same file works on another computer of mine. any ideas? thanks.

What <abbr title="Operating System">OS</abbr>? Linux, Mac OS X, Windows? Also, what version of MySQL (3.x, 4.0x, 4.1x)?

hey chris, i figured the problem out. i'm on windows, and apparently, if you have a service started, then install anohter version and try to start the service, you get error: 0. you have to reinstall the old version and stop the service. of just delete everything related to the program and start over. there are also a few programs floating around that will remove the service for you. thanks anyway chris.
