Thanks for this Zone! It's been most helpful in getting me to where I am so far: installed PHP, configured it with Apache according to Paul Taylor's tutorial (Thanks Paul!!), installed MySQL, and am now trying to figure out what to put in the fields of the Recordset (DW MX2004) form is totally eluding me. DW HELP assumes you understand the basics, and I don't. I've scoured this site for a tutorial but can't find one. Can anyone help? Thanks much, Carolyn Replies

Hi Simon,
Thanks for responding. The first problem is setting up a MySQL connection. I enter the following info and when I click TEST, I get Error Code 405 - Method not Allowed:
Name of Connection: Mysql
Host: localhost
UN: my user name
PW: my password
Database: It won't let me find the database. This is where I get the error.
Then when trying to creat the recordset, no TABLE shows up to select, and there's no way to identify the database the table belongs to. Obviously I'm not giving things the right names, but when I log into MySQL,, the database and table are there.
Thanks for any help,
Carolyn

What about trying the IP address (127.0.0.1) of your localhost rather than 'localhost'. Not sure if this should make a difference or not, but that's what I always do.
