I am designing my first site in Dreamweaver and I have two problems. The first is when i am inserting images into my pages and previewing them in my browser. When i resize the window the images are moving on top of each other as if to fit it all in the window.
Any ideas how i fix this problem

Secondly when i click insert layers nothing is happening. But when i go to edit it says in the undo menu - undo draw layer.

Really confused and would appreciate any help

Are you using/designing a "pure" CSS layout, or tables based layout?

Kevin... this looks like you're posting the same question in multiple forums!
I've answered your question in the other forum about the images. I would suggest keeping the questions separated so support members are not answering duplicate questions.

I am using tables as I do not know how to use CSS. The only way I can find to design CSS is with code and I do not know any. Can you use dreamweaver WYSIWYG or Design mode to layout with CSS instead of entering code? If sp how do i do that?
Thanks for replying, help is appreciated.

You could check out some of the articles in the Premium Content www.dmxzone.com/index.asp?TypeId=28&CatId=691 as these are an excellent place to start. Or if you want most of the hard work done for you then you could look at www.bluerobot.com or simply use one of the CSS layouts that ships with DW.

Working with CSS in DWMX04 is VERY easy and is reason alone to upgrade to MX04 - the support for CSS is vastly improved over DWMX!

I would suggest trying to work it out in CSS as things ARE going to continue to move over to this way of doing things and so you'd be learning something that's not about to die away. If you get stuck with anything then post it up and we'll help you figure it out

In the Design panel, assuming you've got a style sheet attached you should be able to click the 'New CSS Style' and that will take you into a graphical interface to allow you to create your styles

I was very daunted about trying to use css for the first time as well, but trust me, it's definately worth it.

For me, rather than just sitting there looking blankly at dreamweavers interface and getting confused I found it really helpful working through simple example projects in a book called 'Eric Meyer on CSS'. It really helped me get my head around the what's, why's and where's of css. It's not specific to dreamweaver, so you develop a proper understanding of coding css - don't get hung up by dreamweaver interface and what you can and can't see - coding in css is really very easy to understand, I should know as I'm not a programmer!

Of course, there's always the excellent premium content on this site as a good starting point as well.

Don't give up, you won't regret it!

I'm gonna let everyone know a little secret. I learned CSS visually, to grasp it by watching this online video series: movielibrary.lynda.com/html/modPage.asp?ID=47 . Granted it's $25/mo., but I have had an account at Lynda.com for over a year and it proved itself time and time again. Consider it a crash course in CSS, and it's worth it! They also have a DW MX2004 series that shows making a table/CSS layout, and a pure CSS layout of the same design.

Hope that heps some. <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

As for your original issue, sorry, not sure myself.
