I am a newbie to the world of DW. I am using MM Studio MX 2004. I am putting together a page and am trying to create a mouse over effect. The effect is to have a popup message (not window) that defines the text. I have seem it on many other sites, I just don't know how to do it. Any suggestions?

Thanks

You could use the title attribute, which is valid for both text and image, has the advantage of being very easy to include and improves the accessibility of your pages.
Otherwise you could use Layers and show/hide the layers based on mouseovers, traditionally this has been done with JavaScript - but should be possible in CSS (though I haven't done it yet myself)

I've seen JavaScript (DHTML) boxes on link hovers, and they <i>can</i> look nice, but some seem slow - not sure why, maybe my laptop (733MHz).

I suggest the <i>title</i> attribute too, I use - abuse it daily!
