make pop-up menu in dreamweaver mx 2004

when i try to make a popup menu ...when I use behavior to make that , I recieve this error message :
"selObj.childnodes[0] has no propertis "

Also, more detail would help a lot. Are you doing a DHTML "Flyout" menu? A dynamic dropdown box?
