What known problems exists with the Check New Username server behavior that would cause a Newly entered Username to intermittantly be redirected to my "Username already taken" page, although their username was not previously not there? Also, the user's new information is admitted into the database..

When testing a page I built to register a new user, I get mixed results when submitting the info. Sometimes it redirects the user to my "Username already taken" page, although I am certain that it is a new name. I have tried on different computers, still with mixed results..

First, a few things...
<ul><li>What version of DW? (MX/MX2004)</li><li>What <i>Server Model</i> language? (ASP, PHP, .NET, JSP, CFML)</li><li>What database? (MySQL, Access, SQL Server, ...)</li></ul>

First thing I'd try is <b>remove the 'Check New Username' <i>Server-Behavior</i></b> and reapply it again to your form.

Thanks for your reply Chris. Success. The problem was being caused by the 3rd party validation software. After reading your post, I was prompted to rebuild the page and test as I went along. I first rebuilt the insert form behaviour, then added Check User Name, and then added the validate form behavior, then finally tweaked the code to allow user to skip the login page after filling the form. It all works perfectly..

Thanks Again!
