I wanted to use music in my HTML website. I can use a WAV file, but can it be controlled... looped and stopped/started? Or do I have to create a Flash file with an MP3 file to get that kind of control? I hesitate to use Flash just because I would hate for viewers to have to pause from seeing my website if they have to download a plug-in. They may get out of the site if they have to wait for a download. Replies

Well, reguardless almost any other method of the user hearing the music & being able some control (pause/play) then you will end up using a method that requires a plugin (Java, QT, Real, WMP - to name a few).
I'd opt for the Flash method, and make a fallthrough image that will default if the user doesn't have flash, to promote them to enjoy your site more by getting Flash. Besides, you don't want dialup users to download a WAV, even if it's small - MP3 is perfect for that.
