Okay, I took over the website from another webmaster since I work for the client. The webmaster is gone, and there are certain items in the page that are locked, and I cannot modify certain areas of the page. I am trying to change and remove some links on the page, here is the site www.teknon.com . Also why would someone wantto lock the html coding? I have Dreamweaver MX, do I need to upgrade? I wish there was a "Lock" and "Unlock" button to make it simple. I did download the coding on this site, and is confusing.

Are you trying to edit the main .dwt file or just a single page (to customise it)
If you are editing the main template file then all changes will be reflected in the child pages (those built based on the template)
Pretty much all of the template can be changed - new editable areas added, existing ones changed / deleted etc
